This place is one of the best in Brisbane for best quality of everything you need for special Occassion or for your everyday food. They have dry aged steak to die for! A must try for meat lovers. The fruits and vegetables are the best quality at affordable prices.

So so extremely disappointed with The Standard Market Bakery. On December 20th I placed an order over the phone for a whole cake to be picked up today December 29th. I was just there few minutes ago, the girl said she doesn’t have any cake put aside or any cake that was pre ordered. This cake is for my party tomorrow, now I don’t have anything! The person at The Standard Bakery didn’t even apologise or offer any solution or offer anything. We drove 40minutes to pick up this cake. This was my second time ordering a whole cake from this bakery, there was no drama the first time but today was such a disappointment! I can’t even put into words as this was meant to be for a special occasion! Extremely bad service and such a bad experience. My family and relatives loves going here but after such a bad experience I don’t think i’d want to support in the future .. sigh

On October 21st 2pm, hopefully I am wrong, but I faced a situation in the meat section that left me feeling uneasy about my order. The gentleman assisting me seemed displeased with my request, which made me scared about continuing with my other purchases. Over the past three years, we have consistently shopped for meat at this store. I typically ask for half lamb legs or shoulders from the backroom, to be diced or sometimes minced as a half. When the gentleman suggested getting one from the fridge, I explained that I always request them from the back. It appeared that my request may have frustrated him. While I hope I misread the situation, his chatting with his colleague. The other gentleman had a little peep at me- you can imagine my feeling at that time. Also, I noticed the way he handled the meat seemed to indicate otherwise. I even asked another colleague about his anger, and was assured that it was likely due to a busy day, and not something I had caused., Hope the management team can resolve any misunderstandings. This was, however, my first negative experience with this store in the past three years, but also, I have not encountered such discomfort at any other store recently. I always have big orders from the meat section. There is another colleague, whose name I unfortunately do not know, who always assists me with a smiley face. This gentlemen also finished my orders perfectly.
